摘要: An investigation of heme ligands in cytochrome b2 has been attemptd by means rose bengal sensitized photooxidation “apo” and “holo” core. When core is photooxidizxed binding sites are progressively lost histidine residues selectively destroyed. In the presence prosthetic group prevents histidines. It concluded tat at least one histidine, or possibly two, involved as an iron ligand. Evidence given that cysteine not implicated binding. A methionine-iron bond does seem to exist.
