摘要: International business activities are always accompanied by language-related barriers as companies confronted with multiple local languages and a multinational workforce. To increase the efficiency of corporate communication, documentation cross-national teamwork, an increasing number have implemented common language policies in both their headquarters foreign subsidiaries made English official language. However, introducing also creates friction among firm’s workforce is fraught challenges. deepen our understanding that expatriates experience during international assignments, this study takes different tasks to execute while being abroad into account shows which types assignments particularly vulnerable effects. In particular, reveals causes negative emotional responses employees corporations, restrains social identity, constitutes obstacle trust building distorts organizational power relations. Finally, illustrates not only low absolute proficiency colleagues but relative differences levels corporation’s can hamper expatriate success.
