摘要: Role of endothelin and prostaglandins in radiocontrast-induced renal artery constriction. Infusion radiocontrast agents vivo results constriction subsequent hypoperfusion. To examine the role radiocontrast-mediated vasoconstriction, rats were treated with an receptor antagonist, CP170687, indomethacin. The dose CP170687 utilized was sufficient to reverse 1 -mediated isolated aortic rings blood flow intact rats. In normal there a transient drop 80% baseline following sodium iothalamate injection, effect which not prevented by CP170687. first given indomethacin, more pronounced (to 63% baseline) sustained. this instance, fully reversed sustained decrease perfusion. also diminished rise systemic pressure seen injection. absence increased urinary prostaglandin E 2 maximum sevenfold above values. summary, injection immediate that is counteracted increase formation. When synthesis inhibited, prolonged endothelin-mediated vasoconstriction observed antagonist.
