Star Power? Celebrity and Politics among Anglophone Canadian Youth

摘要: Celebrities are playing an increasingly important role in Canadian politics. Recently, entertainers have become active politics, politician Belinda Stronach has a celebrity herself, and from the sports world became member of federal Parliament Cabinet minister. At same time, Irish rock star Bono emerged to lobby leaders change their countries' policies toward developing world. A survey 456 young Anglophone Canadians indicated that Bono's beliefs influence political Canadians, he helped set agenda for politicians. Celebrity politics will continue be intertwined Canada, but more restrained way than USA.
