摘要: The synthesis of new polymeric materials from the monomers is an arduous task, which does not always achieve desired success. A very promising alternative that grows each year chemical modification existing polymers. In this case, polymer one reagents well-known properties and, through conventional reactions, functional groups can be inserted into chain, leading to a wide diversity and applications for obtained. However, reaction succeed, it critical has reactive used in reactions. Polysaccharides are renewable, biodegradable abundant natural polymers throughout planet Earth, have, on average, three hydroxyls repeating unit. With these characteristics, they have been extensively reactions modification, reach products, renewable sources with important physicochemical industries. chapter, we will present different methodologies polysaccharides, as well study their technical feasibility application sectors industry.
