摘要: In 3 patients with epidural abscess, 2 in the cervical spine and 1 lumbar definite diagnosis was established by magnetic resonance imaging (MR). patient computerized tomography performed but correct revealed only MR. The infections were all acute due to Staphylococcus aureus organisms. One developed a tetraparesis on third day, before or antibiotic treatment initiated. other showed minor passing neurologic deficits. None subjected laminectomy. cases confirmed puncture. of had preceding trauma known focus for staphylococcal infection.
