摘要: Oleanolic acid (OA) and ursolic (UA) are isomeric triterpenes that difficult to separate chromatographically. Studies have indicated both OA UA antifertility properties in several livestock species, suppressing attainment of puberty, gonad function gamete production. Being able determine the presence quantity moringa pawpaw seeds will allow for calculation optimal inclusion levels these acids animal diets antifertility-activity. The purpose study was thus quantify Moringa seed powder by means ultra-high performance liquid chromatography with electrospray ionization tandem mass spectrometry (UHPLC-ESI-MS/MS). Only detected at a concentration level 0.508 µg/g ± 0.032 dry weight. could not be used this study. suggest can included tilapia as potential treatment control precocious breeding culture small scale farming systems Sub-Saharan Africa. Further studies warranted composition from other parts Africa (other than Zambia).
