摘要: Translocation of individual carnivores has been a standard management tool for decades in North America and southern Africa response to livestock depredation other conflict behaviours. As carnivore populations across Europe begin increase it is expected that problems will also increase. Before translocation becomes established as its success needs be reviewed. In general, there very little follow-up translocated animals. Almost no data exist on the subsequent levels damage after translocation. Large have shown consistent ability return site capture over distances up 400 km. Even those individuals do not succeed returning home roam large distances, best measured units hundreds kilometres. Very few remain at release sites. Survival animals occasionally poor, often result movements. area (hundreds or thousands square kilometres) without potential where can released strategy work. When such areas are available, efforts should concentrate reducing potential, or, this practical, lethal control.
