摘要: We here present records of total organic carbon (TOC) and C37 alkenones, used as indicators for past primary productivity, from the western (WAS) eastern Arabian Sea (EAS). New data an open ocean site WAS upwelling area are compared with similar Ocean Drilling Program (ODP) Site 723 continental margin off Oman MD 900963 EAS. These together other proxies to reconstruct intensity, indicate periods high productivity in tune precessional forcing. On basis their phase relationship boreal summer insolation they can be divided into three groups: differences between monsoonal (1) (2) document a combined signal moderate SW monsoon winds strengthened prolonged NE winds, whereas EAS phasing indicates maximum (3) at times stronger associated precession-related maxima ice volume.
