摘要: Publisher Summary This chapter describes nociceptors as the type of afferent nerves, inducing withdrawal reflexes and has become surrogate for human pain experience in animal experiments. Withdrawal respective reactions autonomic nervous system can also be observed subjects even states unconsciousness, when experiences are precluded. Nociceptors confined to whole primary neurons with their peripheral central axonal extensions, not parts them— example, terminals, or membrane molecules. The discusses that many synthesize release neuropeptides. These neuropeptides lead, vasodilatation plasma extravasation around nerve endings. A pathophysiological role been assumed “neurogenic inflammation” induced by neuropeptide secretion from terminals. concludes it should tried make clear on which grounds a unit is “nociceptors,” either respect its endings connections, if attribution may sometimes difficult.
