Benign enlargement of sub-arachnoid spaces in infancy.

摘要: Benign enlargement of sub-arachnoid spaces (BESS) is one the causes macrocephaly in infants. It a self-limiting condition and does not require any active medical or surgical treatment. We report case an infant aged 4 months who was referred for magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) brain as head circumference had increased rapidly from 50(th) percentile 3(rd) month to more than 95(th) 4(th) age. MRI revealed enlarged anterior mild prominence all ventricles. A possibility BESS suspected since child neurodevelopmentally normal. follow-up done at age 18 showed reduction size with normal sized
