摘要: Backgroungd: previous outcome research in bariatric surgery has to document positive changes co-morbidities associated with obesity. Objective: the study aimed report a description of impact on weight loss and resolution diseases obesity patients followed up for 12 months public health service Sao Paulo/Brazil. Methods: was conducted data 598 selected grade III subjected Rouxen- Y gastric bypass evaluated postoperatively 6 after surgery. Anthropometric, demographic biochemical personal history were determined at each time point. Serum glucose, total cholesterol, LDL HDL cholesterol triglycerides evaluation. Data analyzed statistically by Chi-square test, ANOVA Bonferroni post-test Student t-test independent data, significance set p < 0.05. Results: 45.5 ± 13.7kg (33.5%) observed during first year reduced six values maintained months, whereas throughout period. A prevalence diabetes mellitus dyslipidemia (p 0.001). Conclusions: Roux-en-Y is an important procedure control comorbidities such as least postoperative year.
