摘要: Background: The amount of excess weight which must be lost in order to cure or improve disorders associated with obesity remains unknown. This study was designed compare super obese and morbidly patients terms reduction following VBG investigate the effects postoperative changes preexisting co-morbidities. Methods: 125 underwent VBG. Group A consisted 80 (64%) group B 45 (36%). Preoperative examination planned identify determine severity any obesity, that may have had. Following VBG, all were followed-up at regular time periods, for least 2 up 4 years. progress co-morbidities evaluated carefully recorded. Results: Among A, there 240 total (3 per patient), 196 (4.35 patient) preoperatively. Dyspnea during fatigue arthritis found statistically higher incidence category. At end second year, greater loss number kilograms seen B, but these did not reach a BMI lower than 35, while had mean below 30. In 66% completely resolved, 19% significantly diminished 15% remain unchanged. respective percentages 53% , 27.5% 19.5%. However, after by significant (92 2.044 per/patient), this is believed due remaining weight. Conclusion: Reduction body resolution improvement obesity-associated disorders. surgery, results two-fold morbidity.
