摘要: Limited data are a common challenge posed to fisheries stock assessment. A simulation framework was applied examine the impact of limited and type on performance widely used catch-at-age stock-assessment method (Stock Synthesis). The estimation provided negatively biased estimates current spawning-stock biomass (SSB) relative unfished level (final depletion) when only recent survey indices were available. Estimation quantities management interest (unfished SSB, virgin recruitment, target fishing mortality final improved substantially even minimal-length-composition from However, some depletion SSB) remained (either positively or negatively) in scenarios with most (length compositions, age compositions indices). probability overestimating yield at SSB true such ~50%, risk-neutral result, for all that included length-composition data. Our results highlight importance an age-structured assessment model, encouraging data-limited stocks.
