摘要: Author(s): Rosa, Silvia; Bissonette, John | Abstract: Several indirect effects of roads on wildlife communities have been reported such as habitat quality alteration, loss in landscape connectivity, and barrier (Forman et al., 2003; Jaeger 2005). An effect zone up to 100m either side the road has described causing measurable impacts ecological (Underhill Anglod, 2000).Roads can impact small mammal by: 1) creating an edge with different characteristics (Garland Bradley, 1984; Tyser Worley, 1992); 2) promoting introduction exotic species (Getz 1978; Vermeulen Opdam, 1995; Underhill 2000); 3) increasing stress reducing survival (Benedict Billeter, 2004) through disturbance contamination (Jefferies French, 1972; Williamson Evans, Quarles 1974); 4) blocking movement thus genetic barriers home range rearrangements (Oxley 1974; Garland Mader, Swihart Slade, Merriam 1989; Gerlach Musolf, finally 5) direct mortality (Wilkins Schmidly, 1980; Ashley Robinson, 1996; Mallick 1998).While main focus studies mammals effects, less attention given density diversity local communities.Further analysis natural habitats is needed. Our objective was assess compare estimators areas influenced by having no influence.
