Primary cellular/dendritic spacing selection of Al–Zn alloy during unidirectional solidification

摘要: Abstract Al–4.95 wt% Zn alloy is directionally solidified with Bridgman apparatus to investigate response of cellular/dendritic microstructures and primary spacing the variation growth velocity. The results show that, increasing rate, there exist a transition from dendrite cell wide distribution range in spacing. maximum, λ max , minimum, min average spacing, as functions V can be given by =4578 −0.697 =1315.7 −0.6543 =3084.5 −0.6982 respectively. experimental are compared Hunt–Lu model, reasonable agreement found.
