摘要: Purpose A canine model was used to determine tissue response related placement of two different designs polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) covered stents in the peripheral vascular system. Materials and Methods Two types PTFE were implanted iliac arteries 15 mongrel dogs. The within beneath these endoprostheses studied compared that for control Palmaz with angiographic histologic examination at 1, 3, 6 months. Results bare stent endothelialized faster a thinner neointima than either design. Neointima formation proceeds from ends toward center PTFE-covered regardless design, minimal transgraft penetration. However, pattern neointimal differed suggests early thrombus stent-graft interface promotes development. Conclusion showed least amount luminal encroachment all time points stent. Regarding stents, patterns may provide insight into design stent-grafts human use.
