Thermally stable polybenzoxazines via tetrahydrophthalimide-functional monobenzoxazines: Synthesis, characterization and thermally activated polymerization kinetics

摘要: Abstract Two benzoxazine monomers with attached tetrahydrophthalimide at para and ortho position have been synthesized via Mannich condensation. The chemical structures of obtained confirmed by 1H 13C nuclear magnetic resonance spectroscopy (NMR) Fourier transform infrared (FT-IR). ring-opening polymerization has examined differential scanning calorimetry (DSC) analysis, which reveals that the ortho-tetrahydrophthalimide monomer exhibits lower temperature compared its para-counterpart. Besides, kinetic parameters determined non-isothermal DSC various heating rates. apparent activation energy values para- functional are to be 107.12 91.00 kJ/mol, respectively, according Starink method. In addition, processes both can well described autocatalytic models. predicted curves based on developed models from this study fit experimental thermograms. Moreover, thermal properties polybenzoxazines also evaluated dynamic mechanical analysis (DMA) thermogravimetric (TGA).
