摘要: AbstractThis paper examines the evolution of pro-poor tourism (PPT) research from 1999 to 2013. Using journal and database searches, 122 academic articles on PPT were retrieved then analysed in light content analysis method. The indicates that a majority has focused African countries. Other less-developed countries, including those Southeast Asia, have captured relatively limited attention. Much less been conducted developed countries where large number scholars are based. Theories models underpinning studies not only diverse origin but also usage, resulting difficulties identifying common theories models. dominated by qualitative methods, although both quantitative mixed methods approaches gaining prominence.
