摘要: Experimental studies have revealed that both downstream and upstream pointing V-shaped ribs result in more heat transfer enhancement than transverse straight ducts. However, based on the available experimental results, contradiction exists whether or orientation is superior for better transfer. Further investigations are thus needed concerning fluid flow phenomena ducts with to clarify this. In present investigation a numerical approach taken numerically simulated by multi-block parallel 3D solver For turbulence modeling, (v(2)) over bar f-k epsilon model employed but results from previous EASM calculations also considered analyzing attempting understand various expert. mental data. Large eddy simulations (LES) carried evaluate accuracy reliability of Reynolds-averaged Navier-Stokes (RANS) methods underlying physical phenomena. It suggested discrepancy between experiments most probably due measurement methods, number sampling points. With TC (thermocouples) technique, few points not sufficient represent behavior ribs, uneven distribution coefficients. (Less)
