摘要: Abstract The venom secreted from glands appended to the jaws of Glycera convoluta , a Polychaete Annelid, increases spontaneous quantal release transmitter nerve terminals. component that is biologically active on vertebrate cholinergic terminals has recently been shown be high molecular weight protein. In present work, crude extract apparatus was toxic for mammals and crustaceans. It fractionated by gel filtrations ion exchange chromatographies. at frog neuromuscular junctions, α-glycerotoxin, purified more than 1,000-fold. distinct components are Purified α-glycerotoxin globular protein 300,000 ± 20,000 mol wt. Stokes radius 65 A sedimentation coefficient 11 S. By its properties, appears other neurotoxins such as α-latrotoxin, which also trigger release.
