A Dual Channel Routing Protocol Based on Energy and Link Quality Indicator in Wireless Body Area Networks

摘要: Wireless Body Area networks (WBANs) are a subset of wireless sensor that interconnect miniaturized nodes with or actuator capabilities in, on, around human body. WBANs offer number routing protocols i.e., CICADA etc., but inefficient usage network resources may lead to premature failure. To increase energy efficiency, reliability and load balancing, this paper presents dual channel protocol called DCHREL (Dual Channel Routing Protocol based on Remaining Energy Link Quality Indicator) uses lexical techniques select routes the basis hop count, end-to-end link quality path remaining where priority these metrics is applied in decreasing order. The simulation results showed reduces not only consumption achieves more uniform between resulting longer lifetime.
