摘要: Rolling cutting coulters are extensively used to cut plant residues, left on the soil surface, so as facilitate work of tillage tools in reduced or direct drilling practices. Four basic patterns these available market: smooth, notched, ripple, and wave. These have operational problems usually do not residue efficiently. When is dry, they demand high vertical load penetrate and, when wet, push into without it. This presents a new geometry for coulters, making them capable through under any condition, eliminating build-up reducing implement draught. The was developed two stages: computational routine calculate dimensions coulter simulate its behaviour; laboratory tests carried out with three-teeth different diameters. results showed that toothed performed adequately residues. necessary penetration at 70 mm working depth demanded by disc varied between 1·5 2·1 kN. moment from 55·2 up 86·5 Nm.
