摘要: Purpose The aim was to evaluate the scope and potential ethical concerns related use of teledentistry in clinical orthodontics. Methods Indexed databases were searched up including October 2020. eligibility criteria as follows: (a) original studies, (b) case reports/series. Historic reviews, commentaries, experimental letters editor, excluded. pattern present review customized summarize relevant information. Results A total 4 studies (out 1016) included evidence-based review. Three reported that is useful In 1 study, a clear conclusion could not be derived regarding benefits Two out did obtain prior approval from an Institutional Review Board or Ethical Committee. report any measures undertaken safeguard electronic transfer patient-related health Conclusions Teleorthodontics facilitates treatment planning/monitoring by sharing orthodontics-based patient records among oral healthcare providers; however, importance direct supervision routine follow-ups during orthodontic therapy cannot overlooked. Further are needed establish guidelines standard care this emerging field.
