摘要: To determine whether the risk factors for dementia in idiopathic Parkinson's disease (IPD) are similar to Alzheimer's disease, we conducted a case-control study of potential factors. A structured interview as was administered surrogates 17 demented subjects with IPD and 54 nondemented subjects. Two emerged possible risks dementia. Demented patients were older than patients, although duration symptoms similar. family history present 30% group 5.6% group. Dementia most often reported among siblings. No difference seen toxic occupational exposure, personal habits, or medical surgical illnesses. We conclude that shares some common disease. Efforts assess contribution genetic susceptibility shared environmental influences may clarify relationship between these two diseases.
