摘要: Abstract This article addresses the connections between value chain actors in tropical-marine small-scale fisheries of Zanzibar, Tanzania, to contribute a better understanding fisher-trader link and how general might feed into livelihood security. A sample 168 fishers 130 traders was taken across 8 sites through questionnaires observations. The fishery system is mapped using framework both traditionally from less economic point view where assistance-exchange networks add another layer complexity. Auxiliary previously disregarded emerge latter method thus shedding light on poorly understood distribution benefits seafood trade. Female participate quite differently, relative males market system, detached high-value links such as tourist industry, access predetermined or secured sales deals. Data shows that not one-sided presented. In fact it has more symbiotic exchange deeply nested broader trading social system.
