摘要: Mitochondria have emerged recently as a novel, intriguing target for anti-caner drugs, owing largely to their importance proper growth of cancer cells. Destabilization mitochondria often results in the induction apoptosis cells that, consequently, may translate into suppression tumour growth. A class mitochondria-targeting compounds, mitocans, comprises several groups agents with different targets within mitochondrion. Of these, vitamin E analogues been promoted that disrupt by modes action. These compounds hold substantial promise potential anti-cancer drugs clinical relevance.
