摘要: Extant developmental research distinguishing young adults who moderate versus persist in alcohol consumption has not consistently evaluated the domain of involvement being modeled, making it difficult to compare findings across studies. In present study, authors characterized course 5 indices using a prospective (6-wave) sample 377 (Year 1 age = 18.52 years; 55% female; 51% with family history alcoholism) over 11 years. Growth mixture models were applied each measure. Despite similarity trajectory shape, predicted prevalences varied, and consistency classifications alternate revealed low agreement. Correlates drinking course, however, somewhat robust index. The finding that trajectories are conditional on specific used suggests may be hazardous generalize involvement.
