摘要: The estimated cost of repairing or replacing the 250,000 road bridges and culverts in USA now considered structurally deficient functionally obsolete far exceeds available funds. Effective bridge management tools are required to ensure careful allocation limited resources bridges, provide most cost-effective treatments for preserving infrastructure. BRIDGIT is software system resulting from National Cooperative Highway Research Project (NCHRP) 12-28(2), aiming develop transportation agencies. It facilitates organisation data, provides clear accurate timely reporting, can rank populations by several user-specified criteria, allows identification critically structures, tracking deterioration trends repair performance. a modular structured personal computer use around FoxPro database. This paper details following components BRIDGIT: (1) inspection data model; (2) prediction using Markov chain models; (3) assessment effects previous repairs traffic; (4) consideration agency costs user developing life-cycle activity profiles.
