Modelling and analysis of an original direct hybridization of fuel cells and ultracapacitors

摘要: The feasibility of fuel cell applications has been demonstrated throughout the world illustrating all potentialities this technology. Research efforts are currently focused on improving life time and reducing costs. Power variations imply fluidic for a system. Because non-infinite dynamic gas supplies, bad local conditions (low concentrations, pressure stresses, water accumulation, etc.) can occur within electrodes degrading more or less their lifetime. This phenomenon is increased in case H 2 /air because relatively slow response air compressor. These mostly created by application severe frequent load peaks interactions with power converters' current harmonics. To reduce effect, hybridization an electrochemical storage component (typically ultracapacitors) generally suggested via one two converters, requiring implementation energy management. Moreover, most these architectures, not protected against harmonics generated its own converter. Here proposed structure called direct where cells ultracapacitors directly associated at elementary scale, permitting double protection sought, limiting electronics providing natural management (no external control required). Firstly, authors will establish large signal model original Secondly, they analyse certain properties integrated terms capabilities under steps through comparisons between simulations experiments.
