摘要: The objective of this study was to evaluate potential hepatoprotective capabilities quercetin in relation its modulation the HO-1 and NOS-2 activities an experimental model fulminant liver failure. Liver insult induced by vivo administration D-galactosamine (d-GalN, 400 mg/kg, i.p.) lipopolysaccharide (LPS, 10 μg/kg, i.p.). effects (50 i.p) on D-GalN toxicity evaluated standard biochemical, RT-PCR Western blot methods. Administration d-GalN/LPS combination resulted significantly higher plasma levels aminotransferases, as well increased mRNA protein expressions both enzymes. Quercetin exhibited cytoprotective liver, evidenced decreased aminotransferase levels. Additionally, treatment D-GalN/LPS treated rats expressions. On contrary, did not exhibit any significant nitrites, rats. when given alone have changes enzymes nor It can be concluded that quercetin's induction byproducts, without concomitant activity reduction, is among mechanisms contributing effect hepatotoxicity.
