摘要: Bronchopulmonary dysplasia (BPD) is a commonplace problem of infants who are bom with birth weight under 1,500 grams and require mechanical ventilation. The immature nervous system these easily overwhelmed by sensory overload in the intensive care nursery. purpose this research was to: (a) quantify physiologic distress signals (PDS) exhibited infant BPD during handling procedures (b) compare findings to group healthy preterm from through hospital discharge. subjects were 32 infants, 9 whom had BPD. From 28 38 weeks postconceptual age demonstrated significantly more tachycardia, tachypnea bradycardia when being handled as well other subtle signals. They older selected PDS disappeared. These have implications for planning
