摘要: Recurrent aphthous stomatitis (RAS) is one of the most common oral mucosal disorders. The aim study was to determine any association between anxiety levels and concentrations salivary serum cortisol in patients with RAS. It has been suggested that stress its presumed effects on immune system, constitutes major causative agents were measured 38 recurrent stomatitis, healthy controls. Salivary using a Luminenscent Immunoassay (LIA) method. Anxiety evaluated Spielberger's State-Trait Inventory which measures both trait as general aspect personality (STAI-T) state response specific situation (STAI-S). 1.44 (+/- 0.58) microg dl(-1) RAS 0.91 0.56) controls (p = 0.001), while 3.13 1.59) 1.89 1.11) 0.001). (STAI-S) 48.85 9.7) group 39.45 7.5) control 49.78 13.02) 38.49 10.31) significantly higher than those group. Our results suggest may be involved pathogenesis
