摘要: Particleboards were treated with a low molecular-weight phenol-formaldehyde resin and their properties evaluated. Particles dipped into aqueous solutions of or sprayed before spraying the conventional adhesive, mixture adhesive in single step. Though mechanical dimensional stability phenolic-resin-treated boards affected considerably by incorporated loading (IRL), methods treatment did not produce significantly different results. After boiling for 2-hours, at 10% IRL retained 80% strength values dry condition. The internal bond increased increasing values, 20% showed twice value untreated controls same level board density. Treated particleboards dramatic reduction rate swelling even loading. Results obtained from accelerated laboratory tests biodegradation suggested that resin-solids worked well to enhance decay termite resistance particleboards. For brown-rot fungus, weight loss was substantially reduced 15% IRL, whereas attack suppressed almost entirely loadings white-rot fungus.
