摘要: Objective The objective of this study was to investigate the cystic changes in radiographically normal follicles associated with impacted lower third molars (ILTM). relation between and both angular position contact ILTM adjacent tooth also evaluated. Study design Follicular spaces patients who were referred our clinic for removal a variety reasons measured from panoramic radiographs by each author independently. Pericoronal tissues examined histopathologically. Then data analyzed associations age, sex, position, second molar. Results There 30 male 64 female patients, ages ranging 14 45 years (mean = 21.11). Forty-seven (50%) 94 specimens showed as only pathological condition other than inflammation. Most occurred 20-25 year age range. statistically significant (χ2 = 7.46, P  .05). Conclusions Cystic may be encountered histopathologic examination asymptomatic molars, especially older 20 years. Vertically positioned suspected higher possibility changes.
