摘要: Cotton belongs to the genus Gossypium, family Malvaceae. This comprises 39 species (Fryxell 1984), which have been categorized into seven genome groups based on cytology of interspecific hybrids (Beasley 1942; Phillips and Strickland 1966; Edwards Mirza 1979). The A contains only two diploid (2n = 2x 26) cultivated (G. arboreum L. G. herbaceum L.), each several races. In B, C, D, E genomes there are 4, 9, 12, 4 species, respectively. longicalyx Hutchinson Lee has included in F bickii Prokhanon G genome. There six tetraploid 4x 52) including types hirsutum barbadense L., all AD genomic constitution. cotton plant is a typical woody perennial shrub, its growth habit indeterminate it develops simultaneously both vegetatively reproductively (Mauney 1984).
