摘要: Through the in vitro culture of excised embryos and ovules, interspecific hybrids have been obtained from cultivated wild species Gossypium. The matured upon transfer to field. anthers, ovules both diploid (2n=26) tetraploid (2n=52) underwent proliferation, this response was genotypic. invariably showed profuse callusing comparison with tetraploid. callus various chromosome numbers, ranging haploids hexaploids, high polyploidy aneuploidy. Hybrid may augment genetic variability by providing a means for obtaining exchange hybrids. implications induction cotton improvement are discussed.
