摘要: Fucoidan is a sulfated polysaccharide extracted from brown seaweeds. It has anticoagulant and antithrombotic properties inhibits, as well heparin, vascular smooth muscle cell growth. In this study, we investigated, in the presence of serum human recombinant growth factors, effects fucoidan heparin on migration umbilical vein endothelial cells (HUVEC) culture. We found that stimulated fetal bovine serum-induced HUVEC proliferation, whereas inhibited it. fibroblast factor-1 (FGF-1), both potentiated contrast, proliferation induced by FGF-2, but did not influence mitogenic activity factor (VEGF). vitro assay denuded area confluent cells, two polysaccharides markedly enhanced FGF-1. Finally, weak inhibitory effect was only with at high concentrations (> or = 100 micro/ml) combined FGF-2. All together, results indicated can be used tools to further investigate cellular mechanisms regulating cells. Moreover, data already suggest potential role new therapeutic agent vegetal origin endothelium wound repair.
