摘要: l-Arginine is shown to protect hematopoietic progenitor (32D cl 3) cells from death due exposure γ radiation (137Cs). Some of the other intermediates in urea cycle, namely ornithine and citrulline, plus itself, were not found have any significant impact on cell survival after irradiation. Intriguingly, supplementation irradiated with l-arginine results decreased production peroxynitrite, suggesting that suppression superoxide generation by nitric oxide synthase one or more microenvironments an important factor observed radioprotection.
