Incorporating barbed sutures in abdominoplasty.

摘要: Barbed sutures can be used in body contouring procedures to close long incisions better than conventional sutures. The results of a literature review focusing on the use barbed abdominal suggest that they are safe and effective wound closure with complication rates similar but possibly faster incision-closure times. An update one author's (K.A.G.) personal experience progressive tension abdominoplasty is presented, along practical technique recommendations for suture use.
