Gastric hypersecretion produced by massive small bowel resection in dogs

摘要: Summary Marked increases in Heidenhain pouch secretion were observed 4 dogs immediately following removal of the major portion small intestine. A similar increase was seen 2 after intestinal bypass, with prompt return to control level gastric restoration normal continuity. Only 1 antrectomy exhibited a rise massive resection. Possible causes for hypersecretion are discussed.
