摘要: Acinetobacter baumannii is of major clinical importance as the bacterial pathogen often causes hospital acquired infections, further complicated by high prevalence antibiotic resistant strains. Aside from natural tolerance to certain classes, resistance exchange genetic information via conjugation but also competence exhibited A. baumannii. In addition, bacteriophages are able introduce genes toxins and virulence factors phage mediated transduction. this work, we analyzed complete genomes 177 strains for occurrence prophages, their taxonomy, size positions insertion. Among all prophages that were detected, Siphoviridae Myoviridae two most commonly found families, while average genome was determined be approximately 4 Mbp. Our data shows wide variation in number within "successful" or potentially beneficial host. study revealed only specific sites insertion host bacterium being used, with few exceptions only. Lastly, existence encoded which may confer antimicrobial (AMR). Several phages carry AMR genes, including OXA-23 NDM-1, illustrating lysogenic acquisition genes.
