摘要: Developmental Hedgehog (Hh) signaling is found deregulated in a broad spectrum of human malignancies and, thus, an attractive target for cancer therapy. Currently available Hh inhibitors have shown the rapid occurrence drug resistance, due to altered collateral pathways. Emerging observations suggest that regulates protein translation pathways depend both on Cap- and IRES-mediated translation. In addition, translational regulators been modulate function. this opinion, we describe novel Hh/translation crosstalk argue it plays relevant role Hh-mediated tumorigenesis resistance. As such, drugs targeting might be introduced protocols aimed at treating driven by aberrant signaling.
