摘要: Abstract In the present work, liquid slug formation in a hilly-terrain pipeline is simulated using Volume of Fluid model and RNG k-e turbulence model. The numerical validated by experimental data horizontal flow. influence pipe geometric structure flow condition on discussed including diameter, inclination angle, gas superficial velocity holdup. results show that blocked at moment formed. pressure suddenly increases, then decreases gradually process motion. drop holdup decrease along with increasing angle ascending pipe. On contrary, they rise increase descending Higher result larger slug, correspondingly induces more rapidly pipelines.
