摘要: New natural biopolymer composite was prepared using extracted cellulose from an environmentally problematic water hyacinth Eichhornia crassipes (EC). The functionalized by chitosan and TiO2 nanoparticles to form EC/Chitosan (EC/Cs) network. Surface characterization of EC/Cs examined spectrum analysis FT-IR, specific surface area, micropore volume, pore width SEM. Furthermore, the sorption experiments were carried out as a function pH, various initial dye concentration contact time. Experiment results showed that have high ability remove C.I. Reactive Black 5 its dye-bath effluent. equilibrium evaluation RB5 conformed fitted well Langmuir adsorption isotherm models maximum capacity 0.606 mg/g. kinetic followed pseudo-second order model intra-particle diffusion may suggesting chemical reaction mechanism. Further, it obvious investigation this could be applied promising low cost adsorbent for anionic removal aqueous solutions.
