摘要: Wild strain, mated, female Mexican fruit flies, Anastrepha ludens (Loew), with no prior experience (naive), were not attracted to grapefruit, a preferred cultivated host, in wind tunnel experiments. Naive, mated laboratory strain females attracted. Prior grapefruit increased attraction of both and wild strains. More peel damage than undamaged fruit, indicating that odor mediated attraction. naive experienced attempted oviposit on the sides tunnel. Experienced males, but males or grapefruit. Attraction oviposition behavior flies was greater flies.
