摘要: Pediatric blood transfusion practice in a tertiary-care pediatric hospital was evaluated retrospectively by using the technique of criteria mapping. A total 630 episodes involving red cell concentrates, frozen plasma (plasma within 24 hours collection), platelet and albumin were reviewed: 243 (86.2%) reviewed only technical assistant, 87 (13.8%) required additional physician review. Of these, 138 concentrate transfusions: 79.7 percent that group considered appropriate, 11.6 unknown benefit/risk ratio, 5.8 inappropriate, 2.9 impossible to evaluate. Some 246 transfusions 42.3 32.5 17.5 7.7 139 64.7 16.5 10.1 8.6 107 90.6 1.9 7.5 The maps developed for this study easy assistant use, areas appropriate inappropriate clearly identified.
