摘要: High-resolution solid-state NMR spectra of {sup 29}Si and 13}C are reported, the latter for first time, bulk {beta}-SiC, {beta}-SiC whiskers, a high surface area powder. Both upfield shift line width increase as particle size decreases, thus extending previously noted trend. Paramagnetic impurities induce distinct resonances that observable in whiskers but dominant By comparison their ESR properties with previous studies, these paramagnetic centers appear to be dangling bonds associated Si C atoms.
