Social, cultural and environmental impacts of tourism in Cyprus: the need for sustainable development.

摘要: The objective of this paper is to determine how tourism development in Cyprus impacted its society, socially, culturally and environmentally. More specifically, will has affected social cultural attitudes, identify reasons that contribute effect, people view development, suggest alternative ways avoid the negative socio-cultural environmental effects tourism. methodology employed involved both desk field research, including a literature review over period 1960–2010, as well as, use questionnaire administered by interviews, covering six geographical areas Cyprus, representing all major touristic resorts. overall analysis attempt reveal unprecedented expansion contributing observed change social, character Cyprus.
