摘要: Abstract This paper details an empirical investigation into alcoholic relapse. The model underlying this work hypothesized that relapse in alcoholics is interaction between (1) situations seen as dangerous precipitating relapse, (2) the behaviour available within individual's repertoire to cope with these situations, (3) perceived effectiveness of ‘coping’ and (4) degree self-attributed alcohol dependence. results a principal components analysis indicated precipitants could be categorised unpleasant affect. external events euphoric feelings. social anxiety lessened cognitive vigilance. Except for ‘external events’, seemed associated certain styles coping, but coping were not necessarily effective avoiding findings also there may important differences those who after treatment survive. suggest control flexibility are more characteristic ‘survivors’. predictive therapeutic implications discussed from point view prevention
